Free Update for Internet Explorer 8 Users

We are pleased to announce we have updated Photosymbols 3 to work with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8. Anyone who wants the 3.1 update can return their USB Flashdrive to us. We will send the new version free of charge. There is also an option to download the update update files yourself (for technical people - see below).

About the update

Internet Explorer 8 is the latest version of Microsoft's web browser software, released in 2009. It is also installed by default, as part of Windows 7. Because of a change in the way Internet Explorer 8 handles pop-up windows, some users have found that images are not displaying properly while using Photosymbols 3.

The update gives users the option of viewing photosymbols within the same page as thumbnails, rather than using pop-ups.

Other web browsers including older versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome are not affected and do not require this update.
